This challenge was originally submitted by CartONG (http://www.cartong.org), a french NGO. Currently the FabSpace consortium is willing to tackle the challenge in 2017. Teams from all over europe work on it at the the same time to find solutions based on sentinel data. The best solution/team of every country (Germany, France, Greece, Italy, Belgium and Poland) will be invited to the european event to elect the best solution of europe.
The election will be at: 11.-14.09.2017 Dublin, Ireland.
The FabSpace consortium is funded by the EC as a Horizon 2020 project. In Darmstadt this is managed by the institute of geodesy at TU Darmstadt and the ESA Business Incubation Centre. These two institutions are in charge for FabSpace Germany. These institution have years of experience with projects on european level and earth observation in particular.
